January 2026

This month has been full of exciting learning experiences, special celebrations, and wonderful new additions to our centre.

Learning Through Play

Throughout January, children engaged in a variety of play-based learning experiences that supported their development across all learning areas. Activities included creative arts, literacy experiences, cooking, and both indoor and outdoor play. The children demonstrated curiosity, confidence, and growing independence.

Special Visitors – Fire Truck Visit (6 January)

On 6 January, we were thrilled to welcome a fire truck to our centre. The children had the opportunity to sit inside the truck, meet the firefighters, and experience holding the water hose. This hands-on experience supported learning about community helpers, fire safety, teamwork, and following instructions, and brought lots of excitement and joy.

Mini Kitchen – Icing Cupcakes (7 January)

On 7 January, children enjoyed our monthly cooking activity, icing cupcakes. They practised spreading icing. Our Mini Kitchen will continue every month in 2026, supporting fine motor skills, hand–eye coordination, creativity, and cooking skills.

Graduation Ceremony – 16 January

On 16 January, we proudly held our Graduation Ceremony to celebrate our graduating children. It was a meaningful occasion recognising their achievements, growth, and readiness for the next stage of their learning journey.

Australia Day Celebration

Children participated in an Australia Day celebration, learning about Australian culture, symbols, and values in inclusive and age-appropriate ways.

“Let’s Move It” Program – Weekly in 2026

Our popular “Let’s Move It” program is back and will run every week throughout 2026. Children will participate in fun physical activities that promote movement, coordination, fitness, and healthy habits.

New Indoor & Outdoor Equipments

We are excited to share that our centre has introduced new indoor and outdoor equipments this year. These additions provide children with more opportunities to climb, balance, explore, and challenge themselves safely. The new equipment supports physical development, confidence, problem-solving, and active play.

Refreshing Summer Treats – Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt

To help children stay cool during extreme hot days, we now offer fresh fruity ice cream from our new ice cream machine, along with fresh made frozen yogurt throughout the day. These refreshing treats add fun while supporting comfort and wellbeing.
