In response to requests from parents, 1st Impressions Education has designed a comprehensive and sustainable program to enrich the after-school lives and extend the talents of school-age children. Since the pandemic, we have been doing our best to support parents working in the particularly busy healthcare, retail, and education sectors and have worked to adapt to the needs of newly immigrated parents in Australia. We provide a safe and comfortable educational environment for their children, offering creative educational content after school, on weekends, and during holidays. 1st Impressions strictly adheres to the principles of the My Place & My Time framework, respecting the children’s nature to learn through play while giving them more choices to broaden their horizons and discover and enhance their abilities.

Part 1. Our Operating Hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm
  • Saturday: 8:00 am – 6:00 pm

Part 2. Target Audience:

  • Kindergarten and primary school children

Part 3. Services Offered:

  • Provision of Fruits, Snacks, and Fresh Hot Meals
  • Academic Support:
We have primary school teachers who are familiar with the Australian curriculum. They encourage children to ask questions and complete their school assignments on time, alleviating parents’ concerns. Happy and confident students reduce parents’ anxiety about tutoring, fostering a positive parent-child relationship and a warm family atmosphere.
  • Music Literacy Development:
We invite many professional teachers and young musicians from the University of Adelaide to help music-loving children get familiar with rhythms, enhance their hearing, and try various instruments. Music is used to relieve stress and encourage self-expression.
  • Visual Arts and Environmental Awareness Development:
We encourage children to understand and appreciate the charm of art, combining life and art to fully express their imagination. In particular, given the current focus on environmental issues, children will, with the help of teachers, use recycled materials to create beautiful gifts and daily items.
  • Cultivating Good Reading Habits:
According to the latest data published in Australia, literacy and writing difficulties are not only present among new immigrant children but have become a widespread societal issue. With the help of Dr. Anne, we have selected a variety of interesting reading materials to encourage children to develop an interest in reading from an early age, engage in deep comprehension, and make reading enjoyable and thinking a habit, fostering wisdom.
  • Logical Thinking Development:
We have provided and purchased various advanced logic games and chess sets, encouraging children to engage in thinking, discussion, and creating more effective problem-solving solutions.
  • Nature Exploration:
Exploring nature has always been a focus of our education. Through investigating natural environments and visits to museums, art galleries, and universities, we encourage children to develop their observational skills.
  • Physical Activities:
A healthy and strong body is the foundation of life and learning. We include sports activities such as squash, basketball, and badminton to challenge the children’s resilience and physical strength.
