Meet Our Senior Adviser: Steve Green

Hi, My name is Steve Green. I have been involved with different childcare services since 1988 as a Parent, Teacher, and Manager.

After working in support of about 80 Out-of-school hours services for a couple of years, I worked for 5 years with the Children’s Services Team that regulated childcare services in 1997. During that time, I developed support materials for Family Day Care providers and conducted investigations of complaints before returning to the Licensing team as Manager. From 2010, I was part of the National team that developed the National Quality Framework including the Quality Rating System. In 2012, the NQF came into effect, creating the Education Standards Board. I transferred to the Board as a Manager responsible for a team that regulated half of the SA services while maintaining my role in the ongoing development of the NQF.

I have left the Board but I continue to maintain my interest in creating the best outcomes for children and families. The Director of 1st Impressions, Sally has invited me to be the centre’s adviser. So, I am excited to work with the 1st Impressions team and support them in continuing to provide the best quality education and care to children.

Welcome, Steve, to the 1st Impressions family!
