Learning About Waste with KESAB

At 1st Impressions Early Learning Centre, sustainability and environmental awareness are key parts of our learning journey. Recently, we welcomed a special incursion from KESAB (Keep South Australia Beautiful), who delivered an engaging and educational session on bin education for our children.

Through songs, poems, storytelling, and open discussion, the children explored:

  • What happens to waste after it’s collected by the truck
  • The importance of sorting our rubbish correctly
  • How recycling can protect the planet

The incursion sparked lots of curiosity and conversations! Our children particularly enjoyed singing along and asking thoughtful questions about how bins work and where waste goes. This interactive experience helped deepen their understanding of sustainability and responsibility in everyday life.

We thank KESAB for their wonderful visit and look forward to more opportunities that help our little learners become caring stewards of the environment.
