November 9th was a special day at 1st Impressions as we celebrated “Doctors and Nurses Day” with some of our wonderful parents. We’re grateful to these parents who took the time to plan and execute engaging activities that our children thoroughly enjoyed!
The day was as exciting for the parents and teachers as it was for the children, transforming our space into a make-believe clinic or hospital. It provided a unique opportunity for children to learn about the professions of their parents, satisfying their curiosity about what their parents do in their day-to-day work. The children beamed with pride as they watched their parents share their passion and profession with everyone.
Our little ones followed the activities with keen attention, immersing themselves in a world of pretend medical procedures. They experienced visiting the doctor, receiving prescriptions, getting pretend injections from the nurse, having their hands ‘scanned’ by an X-Ray technician, and even ‘paying’ hospital fees.
Post-activity, the children gained a newfound respect and admiration for the roles of doctors and nurses. They left with a sparked interest and wonder about the medical world, a testament to the impactful learning that unfolded throughout the day!
